Location: Parish of St. John’s Anglican Church
Reporting To: Executive, Priest-in-Charge, Wardens, Secretary, and Treasurer
Payroll: Diocesan Payroll (required under Directors & Officers Liability Insurance and SafeR Church policies)
Position Overview
The Finance and Office Clerk will provide essential financial and administrative support to ensure smooth parish operations. This interim role offers flexibility and an opportunity to work closely with parish leadership in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Post income and expenses in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel using the parish Chart of Accounts (effective January 1 onward).
* Manage parish email accounts, e-transfers, and invoice notifications.
* Process bill payments from requisition forms, ensuring accurate Chart of Accounts coding on all forms, cheque stubs, and invoices.
* Maintain strict confidentiality regarding passwords and sensitive information.
* Prepare correspondence as requested by the Priest-in-Charge and Executive.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Experience in a church setting and familiarity with Anglican parish life is an asset.
